It’s a holiday, so I slept in this morning, woke up and turned the news on to see the latest coverage on Hurricane Gustav. I went from CNN to The Weather Channel to Fox News. I don’t generally watch Fox News but my husband suggested that we check everything out. I’m pretty horrified by the coverage that we see. Reporters everywhere, hanging out in the middle of the street while spouting off about how dangerous it is, one on CNN even showing us a big loose tree branch while warning that it could impale you through the chest. THEN WHY ARE YOU OUTSIDE? It’s sad that this has become the MO of “storm journalism.”
David Usher also noticed the weird twitter/CNN mashup going on last night with Rick Sanchez. I was in the gym and was having trouble paying attention to continued motion on the treadmill while I watched him pick out tweets that seemed to all be very convenient for him.
