Quality Retweeting is the New #followfriday.

by Jamie Sanford on June 11, 2009

Quality retweeting.

How did I not think of this before?

We have heard about re-designing #followfriday (See David Armano’s blog post referring back to a tweet from @ThinkReferrals via @HilzFuld), but why not put your money where your mouth is and use retweeting as your recommendation system?

Quality retweeting!

So there it is, think before you retweet, let those tweets be your recommendations for who to follow.

How do you choose what to RT?

What a great idea, Jamie! Thanks for reading and commenting on Follow Friday Soup, too.

I think we can all work together to bring back the “integrity” to twitter. I’m in!

Thanks Jamie, this is an excellent idea and I’ll certainly be using it.

For me, the big thing about participating in Twitter is adding value, which originally #ff did. But those times seem long gone. RT’ing the worthy sounds ideal.
